About Me...
My name is Misty and I am a stay-at-home mom of two boys, Marcus and Noah, one little girl named Brandy and two dogs, Fern and Brier. I have been married to Paul, my best friend for fifteen years.
I am a painter, a reader and an all-around crafty girl. I love scrapbooking and quilting. Being artistic or reading is how I love to spend my time and lately there are not enough hours in the day compared to the stack of un-read books beside my bed or quilting projects in my craft room.
When I wasn't caring for my kids I taught playschool and scrapbooking classes. I also really enjoyed volunteering at our local humane society.
I love fabric, museums, art stores, book stores, dog parks, iTunes and Pinterest.
About Paul...
Paul is one heck of a guy and absolutely my best friend. He is a small business owner and computer genius. Paul fills his time with coaching football, training at the gym and throwing the heavy events with the Alberta Scottish Athletic Association. Besides everything else Paul is a great father, I am truly blessed to have him as my partner-in-crime.
About our Boys...
Marcus, our oldest is twelve and is frick'n hilarious. He is an old soul with a dry sense of humor. Marcus is not your average eleven year old in may ways although completely average in others. For example: he suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder but will ignore the dirt and germs to ride horses; He has Tourette Syndrome but his vocal tick is to say excuse me; and he has ADHD but loves devote his time to reading and learning new things. Marcus reads mostly non-fiction books, loves the history channel and movies. This past year Marcus started playing the snare drum with our local youth pipe band, he is quickly catching on and looks so terrific in his kilt! Everyday Marcus says that he wants to be something different when he grows up, he thinks big.
Noah is ten and keeps our family in stitches. He is a true athlete enjoying football, soccer, ball hockey and skate boarding. Noah is full of life and will suck all of the energy out of us if we let him. He likes to be dirty and is the first one to roll in the grass with the dogs at the dog park. A true boys-boy he loves army men, hockey cards and Lego. Noah has a true soft spot for babies and animals and would turn our house into zoo if we let him.
About Brandy....
Brandy is four and we recently (January 2012) adopted her! She is super cute and the reason why this blog was started....this is all about the quest we had to expand our family of four! Brandy is a blond-haired, blue eyed spit fire who rocks our little world. She has instantly added pink to our house and food to our floor. Brandy has been diagnosed with Williams Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
About our Dogs...
Fern is the most beautiful black lab in the world! She was rescued from SCARS as a pup and has been my princess from the first moment I laid eyes on her. He full title is Miss Fern Annabella Kuefler of Capilano.
Brier Doofenshmirtz Steinmetz Kuefler was adopted from the Edmonton Humane Society. He is a crazy beautiful German short haired pointer. He chases bugs and light and barks like crazy. I am not sure that adopting a special needs dog was such a great idea!
